What would be nice is a program that you can view a 3D rendition of the textured model and see the changes as you repaint.  I can already do that with FSDS source files with VAS, but I still have to respawn the model, etc.

I'm trying to repaint an F/.A-18A+ in the colors of the CAG aircraft and getting the stripes aligned on the side is a pain in the butt...  I could take an fsc and repaint it, but then, I'd have to complete the animations, etc.

I dunno if you're familiar with other sim games besides those that are avation oriented, but I have a game (uninstalled at the moment) that's a racing sim (NASCAR 4).
