Nice job!
I flew the 727 for Eastern Air Lines in the 60's-70's...different colors, of course, but you've definitely captured the feel of the times. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

you should see my Lockheed L-188's I been workin on !! still more painting to do on the 727' interiors tho, Eastern, Braniff, PSA etc, get em' done eventually.

Ahhh, heres a former post showing some of the Lockheed L-188 Electra interior repaints , from last year, and 1 old Martin 404.
One day i'll get em' all done and upload the interiors to Simviation for ya'll to have !

I was hired in late 1966 and missed flying some great airplanes because they put me directly on the 727. I had really wanted to fly the Connie and the Electra, although by then they were both on Shuttle standby which was very, very boring with very little flying. Can't really complain, though, since I had some fun years flying the 727, DC-8 and DC-9. Of the three, the 727 was my favorite by far: better design, stronger, easier to fly, simpler systems (for me, at least), more flexible in what it could do, etc., etc. First loves tend to linger in the mind even after they are long gone...
Later I switched to helicopters which are so much more challenging in many ways. I never looked back and had another 24 great years of flying.
