Alphasim T-28 issue

Hey i bought the T-28 from alphasim a few days ago and i just started on a paint.  However, the wing texture trojan_2, refuses to show up no matter what i save it as.  If i copy trojan_2 into my new folder from another folder the texture shows up.  they are both 32 bit 1024x1024 and named the same which is so weird considering they are in the same folder.  Has anyone seen this before?

in the folder it looks like this: (keep in mind all the other textures are there)

trojan_1
trojan_2
trojan_2
trojan_3

why is it doing this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated and many thanks in advance.

Are you using DXTBMP in the process?

yes, its not my first rodeo lol.  Its the first time ive had texture issues with them not showing up after saving them into a extended bmp form.  I never have had much luck with alphasim.

I was just asking, it's usually the problem, and if someone doesn't mention it, you just have to ask. ;) :)

Just a question, but what kind of texture is it listed at the top of DXTBMP as(other than 32bit 1024x1024)?  And does the actual bmp show in thumbnail form or does it show up as 'drawing failed'?

Another thing, are you converting it to a 24bit bmp from DXTBMP first? I have run into that problem a couple of times.

yea when working on pictures prior to startingthe painting, Photoshop had it in a OS2 mode while saving which saved it as a weird format.  Its fixed now.
