FSX/FS2004 repaint instructions

hi, i have paint shop pro 6 and the DXTBMP program. i have tried every thing that i could think of and even found a website with instructions(www.calclassic.com/reapaint2.htm) and i still couldnt repaint an aircraft and have it show up on the game as painted. Could someone please give me instructions that i can follow , im not very computer smart( im trying to learn as much as i can).
