You can use any graphics program from Paint upwards to repaint an aircraft. So yes i should imagine your software will work fine. Its just a case of converting the texture file to editable format, using your software to alter them, and then converting back. This requires DXTbmp if you havnt already got it.

Post back if you need to know any more  :)

For default aircraft, generally the textures ending in _t.bmp

Add-on aircraft dont always conform to this, so you'll just have to open them up and see whats there  :)

Feel free to give me a shout if you need any more help. Or there are some tutorials on my forums at www.repaints.tk

If you want to you can have a look at them. If you do i'd appreciate knowing if they are any use as it's my first try at tutorial writing. Thanks

Adobe Photoshop is a bad place to start if you are starting.. difficult learning slope.

If you wanna get some skills before attempting or bone up on some old ones

If you mean Adobe Photoshop it's the best available according to the pros. It's an expensive professional quality graphics editor. I've never used it myself but it might take some learning to use it properly. Having the best & most expensive tools available doesn't guarantee success. The best tool in the world is no use at all if you don't know how to use it. ;)

Let's not forget the Simviation resources:

Paint kits:
http://www.simviation.com/fs_paintkits1.htm

Tutorials (Repainting and other):

http://www.simviation.com/fsdesign_tute1.htm

Many times we inadvertently point/link to other pages without reminding that here at Simviation we have good resources.
