My Wings!!! Help!!!!

I started repainting Alex Bashkatov's Eclipse500 which can be found in Simviation's civil jets section. I ran into a lot of trouble though . The body of my plane and all of that stuff is painted, it's just that the wings and the tailwing are still white and I can't find the file to repaint them  >:( Has anybody else here tried repainting the Eclipse500. If so could you tell me which file I need to repaint and how to do that Thanks

This often happens when a person does not texture a piece of the aircraft and instead utilizes the coloration in Gmax.  Although with this comprehensive an aircraft, I would expect them to have done what they could to make it completely user friendly.

I would recommend that you paint ALL of the textures in a strange color(yellow, pink, aquamarine), covering the entire bitmap.  See if this helps anything.  If not, the texture doesn't exist and its like I said above.

Well thanks for the reply and trying to help me , it's just the plane was made in fsds2 I wonder if anyone else has tried repainting the Eclipse 500???

When you downloaded the plane - did all the textures show correctly in FS?

It could be that somewhere along the line, then:

- the repainted textures were saved as 24-bit color.
- they were renamed?  (even a misplaced space will not be accepted)
- they were inadvertently placed in some other folder?

Thanks for that help Felix, but whenevr I installed the plane everything seemed to show correctly. The wings were white  and whenever I started my repaint they remained white while everything else got painted. I don't think that any of the texture files are in 24-bit bmp format because nothing shows in the shiny brownish texture. as for renaming and misplacing files in there I don't think that this happened because I took the original texture folder. Maybe you could check out the Eclipse which can be found right here .Thanks for trying to help.

I downloaded the aircraft and took a look at the textures, and I can't seem to find ANY wing textures.  Looks to me like they were colored and such in the program that created the aircraft and then weren't textured.

Oh, well.  Maybe this is something you should email the author about.  His address is in the ReadMe file that came with the package.
