Aircraft Tail Numbers Missing

Hopefully someone can tell me what has happened. I downloaded a repaint of the default c172 and now the tail numbers are kind of translucent you can see them but they are white instead of black. How can I fix this.

sounds to me as if some one may have used a transparent texture for the tail numbers. If you can find the right bitmap you can use MSPAINT to change them with be sure to back up first before you alter it, and resave after you have finished. Other than that the only other way may be to use a repaint program for that.
