Developer Question

Hi Gang! Want to thank all of you who take the time to share your creations with us on the free site. There are some very talented folks out there who make this truly seem like a community.

I have noticed that on some downloads, when unzipping the main files, many developers include a file that is labled in some way (wording varies), "contents_to_module_folder"

I know it means this file needs to be manually put somewhere so FSX can see it, but can someone tell me, exactly, where/what is the "module" folder for an add-on aircraft?

I have gone into the FSX directory\sim objects\aircraft....where from here?

Thanks,

Hi Mick. The folder you want is FSX\Modules.

Got back into town today and had a chance to check your tip. I looked in my main FSX directory and there is no such folder.

My directory lists:
Addon Scenery
Autogen
Categories
Config
Dialogs
Effects
Flights
Font
FSWeb
Gauges
Lessons
Licenses
Messages
Missions
propdefs
Rewards

and so forth.......

what am I missing?

Ahhh,...that explains it. I downloaded a chopper that had a folder telling me to copy it's contents to the "Modules" folder and there wasn't one. So, I took your advice and created one. Now, we'll see if the aircraft traffic radar dll works next time I fire it up.

Many thanks, good Sir.  :)
