I've heard that Rick is working with Skysim. Is it his Vixen do you think? ;)

Is that an official rumour from a town a few miles west of the A59 junction on the A1? ;D ;)

I can tell you categorically that the model was built by our own Brian Franklin (whom someone earlier in this thread has had a pop at) and the gauges were made by Jim Cooper another partner in the company.

Rick helps an awful lot of developers in little ways here or there but the vixen is not his.

I thought not...

I have to say that Brian and Jim have done a rather excellent job IMO...

...now if only there was a DH110 too... ;D

If you think that the Skysim modellers are (rightfully) worthy of praise, please do so either in a separate thread, as they deserve one of their own.

Let's keep this thread focused on Rick Piper who, in my opinion, not only provides excellent models, but, as has been noted, helps other modellers as well.

As some of you on this forum may know, Rick has now been working for Skysim for some time and as a result we are very close to releasing his first model under the Skysim banner. We are very pleased the the T1 Hawk which will be released in the Red Arrows Livery on the 1 July.

I do hope you will continue to support one of worlds greatest developers (in my opinion) so he can carry on producing the fantastic aircraft he does.

I"ve been following the progress of the T.1 Hawk for some time in several forums.

Rick has (as improbable as it sounds) outdone himself.  We (somewhat tongue in cheek) had a discussion as to whether one of the screenshots was in fact a photo edited to look like a screenshot, or a real screenshot.

My real congratulations go to the Skysim genius that convinced Rick to do a model without a propeller!

I am hoping deep in my heart that Rick will do something like a Vickers Vanguard for his next Skysim project. You cannot escape a good prop ;D

Don't you DARE take over his Heron ... otherwise, I'll finish up my own - with  flat-6 CONTINENTALS - or even the stretched turboprop version!!!
