Static carrier cables

Hi, all. Is there a way to create a model so that it simulates the arrestor cables on aircraft carriers? I want to make a model that can be placed on a runway that simulates carrier landings. (there is a bgl file included with ArrCab 2.6 that does the same thing, more or less). I don't know how to use gMax and I'm not willing to invest in FSDS, so a cheap or free modeling program would help.

Do you have AI Carriers by Lamont Clark?
http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... filename=YIf so, you can add this FLOLS trailer to any airfield:
http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Sea ... CatID=root (This link probably won't work unless you're registered)
If you still want to model one yourself here are a couple of options:
Google Sketch Up This one is pretty easy to use.....good for beginners.
GMax This one is more complex. I have little experience with GMax, but many models for FSX are made with it

I do have AIcarriers, and most of my modeling work is done in sketchup. I'm just worried about adding working cables to the object. Actually placing it in FSX should be no problem.

I tried the FLOLS system with cables. Every time I tried to make a trap, FSX said that I had crashed. I don't want to have a hard surface or have something that would cause a crash; I just want the cables to be visible, and, in the same area, have a trap zone (or whatever FSX calls it).

I would take a closer look at
RCBCO-30.zip
Its old, but maybe something can be used in FSX.
