New MD600N

Started working on a model for the first time in my life ...nobody warned me that I will loose all my hair overnight...and its only been 2 weeks of work...


...a couple of shots of the progress so far...lots still to fix and re-fix..

Thanks guys...its my first go at modelling so at the moment I am only thinking as far as the body and outside..I am using 3ds max.. so still figuring out how to export the model..but yes I plan to include a full VC and avionics and sound. It will be for fsx..
will post a few more screen shots later..

WOW!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! Model is looking awesome. I can take the MD600N off my to-do list now. If you need any help with textures, feel free to give me a shout! 8-)

Cheers MdFlyer! Lol I have never modelled anything before so best not to take it off your to-do list...yet.. I am working in 3ds max9 and so far so good..but will def need help with textures and advice on exporting and things I don't yet know about..
Started to work on the the Landing Gear but still way off detailing..also will redo the nose and rotors..

For your first model, it's looking great. I use gmax. (Have the 3Ds demo currently installed, too) I haven't worked with 3Ds much. Never had much success. Lets face it. GMax is much simpler. But 3Ds can do much more. I wish you luck on the project, and I will help you out anyway I can.

Thanks MdFlyer4 for the support...I will defenitely need help and will shout when i get stuck...am also keeping an eye on your S61 project...wow..wish i was that far ahead...

Hi Alex , thank you for the nice comment and advice. I will probably only try a fsx model first and to be honest am quite scared of the xporting bit ... I have no idea what to do yet and even the texture or uv mapping sounds difficult ... Also my model has a few naked edges so am doing a cleanup and prob a rebuilt as I am already on 40 000 polys on the exterior alone ... Also I am using rhino 3d and then exporting it to 3ds max 9 ... Will look at your site and keep in touch.. Thanks again
