FS9 Language

Could someone tell me what is the programming language of FS9?  Just curious.  I've asked this before and no one ever answered or seems to know.  I wanted to begin to study it and maybe go into that line of work (computer science/programming) but I have no idea if it's C++, or what.  It's a hard answer to find searching.  Apologies if this is a dumb question. I'm a rookie.  :)

FS9 and FSX are both written in C++, but still contain a few sub-routines in pure assembler.

...interesting...

...when I recall that all my programming on the 1982 Sinclair Spectrum, (Timex in the USA), 48K Computer was always written in Zilog Z80 Machine Code, (Assembly Language), accessing the Central Processor in the interests of speed!

Z80A Clock speed: 3.5 MHz/s.

Happy, far-off days!.... :)...

The mind boggles thinking about programming the modern MS Flight Sims, Computer Games, etc, in pure Machine Code!.... :o...!

...how times have changed!... ;)..!
