Light Issue

Postby Sir Puma » Tue Dec 01, 2009 9:25 pm

Ok, I have another issue, (now that I have a work around for the NAV issue for AP). I have another Electra that the Taxi and Landing lights don't work right. When viewing from spot or chase, they work, but when in Virtual Cockpit or just Cockpit, they don't? Can I get a hint where this is located so I can toy with it? ;D

My goal here is to get one model with three or four skins. I currently have 3 models that have varying issues. Two the door doesn't open right, one does. But the one that does has an issue with the lights. I have already resolved the sound issue I had at first (an Electra doesn't sound like a Cessna 208 or a Lear 45) and I'm working on skins. If I can get the one with the main entrance stairs to have working lights and adjust the performance through the cfg file, then I can use it with the other skins and have one aircraft file with multiple textures. :D

Th CFG can set the postions of the lights and which file it uses but the beaviour as described sounds like it's in the model itself.

When you say three models are you meaning three diffrent models from different authors or three versions of the same model?

Is this FS.9 or FS.X.is it FS.9 models in FS.X??

Yes, I now have five different downloaded models. If they have working stairs, they don't have working lights. If they have working lights, they don't have stairs.

FS2004 Century of Flight.

If the MDL file controls the action of the lights, how can I edit it? I'm thinking it would also control the existence of the stairs. I don't entirely mind the ones without stairs as I could use them as Cargo models in the paint scheme.

If it's something modelled you can't editi it without the source files and recompiling the model.
