Found the problem!  :-D

was a texture applied that somehow dont want to export.. deleted that object -and it exported correct!  :-)

ANother thing to consider.  When you get an error, you should also get an error log (mymodel.log, located in the same folder where you're (trying) to export to.

That's a simple text file and will usually be reasonably accurate in telling you what the error is.  Sometimes the "can't find makemdl.exe"  is the last thing really causing the error.
