Virtually Cocpit Friendly

Postby rassy7 » Fri Nov 13, 2009 3:36 pm

I know literally nothing about modeling so I have to ask ... I LOVE Kirk Olsen's F-16s, especially the "virtual cockpit friendly" model where in the virtual cockpit, the pilot's head is NOT present, essentially allowing you to be the pilot's head. The other model's keep the pilot's head in the vc so when you slow down, or speed up, or look to the sides, you see pieces or his head pop in and out and it gets distracting and annoying. Same thing in the B and D models. I am wondering how to possibly remove the heads of the pilots in the currently-virtual-cockpit-unfriendly models. Please no guillotine jokes, lol, :)

Honestly? It's simply not possible except by manually hacking the compiled .mdl files, and even then would be mostly a hit-or-miss effort...

...with major emphasis on the "miss" part.
