Coming in here with only a few posts and asking for any designer will never work, get to know people first and possibly learn how to paint your aircraft

I've spent more time texturing a piece than designing it, sometimes. It really is a tedious part of the project, but necessary to learn if you really want to design your own aircraft. You should seriously consider doing it yourself. You'll learn a lot of stuff about the design process, and you'll have that much more experience to put into your next model.
How about a few screenies to help us help you with doing this?

You will also be mapping your textures adjusting the mapping, the textures and the model all at the same time.
It's a job that can only be done properly by one person

That's a really nice design! Very striking, yet wholly plausible.
You should start with the
texturing section from the
Stupid Idiots' Guide to Starting with Gmax. It's what initiated myself any many others into this stuff, and should at least give you the basics.
Once you've given that a look, come back here with any questions you might have.

Texture bitmaps don't have to be "square"..
BUT they DO have to be "binary"..
2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096
Example: 256 X 4096 will work.

It's still best to make them square :), because if the computer loads a bitmap, it should have as much "stuff" on it as is possible.. and "square" is the most efficient way to do it.

Here's the problem.. A first-rate texturing has do be done by someone who is intimately familiar with the model. A lot of how the model is built, will have texturing it in mind. To just start texturing someone else's work, can be a daunting task. As much work as building the model itself.
I hope someone comes along to do it.. it's a very nice model... but you'd be better served to do it yourself. As you can see, you'll get plenty of help here.
