Finally got my problems with exporting solved and here it is in the sim!  I still have a way to go yet, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...

I think you just made the 90% most difficult in FSX-SDK  [smiley=tekst-toppie.gif] I congratulate you ,and when is black is because the image BMP or DDS has to be square 1024x1024 or 512x512 , also many other reasons ,like perhaps you forgot to put the texture compressed in the aircraft texture folder ,But I'm really (Honest) happy for you Kevin

PS: Type a *.TXT like an instructions of what you did to have a successfully export ,I do have my own instructions and read them all the time i have to format my HDDS

Thanks guys, I haven't applied the textures yet, which is why it's black.  I also have the cockpit saved separately, but it is done...  :)  Now I need to move on to the panel and such.

Alex, in the end, the thing that was holding me up was just that I didn't have it set up in a hierarchy.  Once I got that sorted out, it worked fine.  I did have a small problem with scale, but that was easily resolved...

It won't be, once it's textured...  ;)

I'm also going to add R613K (Pancho Barnes plane) with the original Chevrolair engine as well as her bird, NR1313, the Italian Mystery Ship, and if I can figure out how to make that funky looking cockpit, Jimmy Doolittle's Shell Mystery Ship, hopefully all as one package...  ;)
