FSX SDK...

Postby Shadow » Sat Mar 14, 2009 4:28 pm

I have deluxe and acceleration installed...

I got Gmax working but...
I did a search throught everything (even the hidden places) and the is no SDK anywhere (That shows up anyway).

Yes I have used Paintshop pro a bit...
I just have the gold edition of flight simulator... (not everyone knows its deluxe and accelleration...)
I don't know what you are talking about with the lear jet though...
Thanks for the info about the SDK and DXTBMP...
the only airplane (that I remember) talking about lately is F 136 Orbital Defence Interceptor Jet Fighter...
(The one under the one you were talking about...)

DTXBmp its free its a manipulator a graphic editor you can download it from here

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia ... TBmp.shtml

EDIT: I just read it again..Sorry you mean the f-136 downlading now to see what's up

I also forgot to tell you ONCE you have installed FSX-SDK SP1 and 2
there will be an extra folder in
C:\program files\Microsoft games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK

You Need to export something into MDL FIRST of all ,this is not easy as you think and then save any file carefully Example the cessna 172 made a backup and rename the exported file as Cessna.mdl

Also make sure you have the latest version of DXTBmp. http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/programs/dxtbmp.htm

The version from your link is long out of date.

We seem to have gone off topic here. If you used the auto-installer to install it to FSX look in the FSX root directory for a folder named Aircraft. The aircraft will be in there in a folder named F136. Paste the F136 folder into your FSX\SimObjects\airplanes folder. Now fire up FSX & try it.

You will need some of the FS9 default gauges for the 2D panel & VC to work properly.

I tried that... and it still won't work, but this thing about Bloom and DX10 is a possibility... what I mean by "its not working" is that the aircraft does not show up in the selection menu. I'll try this DX 10 thing though. Yes, I have Vista.

Light bloom & DX10 Preview won't affect whether it displays on the menu. Make sure you have that F136 folder in your FSX\SimObjects\airplanes folder.
