Only if I could figure out gmax, or is it possible to convert from Sketchup to gmax?

Your modeling abilities are way above mine....my model has taken about 5 hours... :P

And it doesn't even float... ;D

I don't know any of the controls so I'm lost in Gmax, that's one thing I liked about Sketchup very simple interface, and lots of video tutorials. ;D

yeah, Gmax/Max has a workflow of it's own... you have to do the tutorials to get the hang of it...

also, the stupid idiot's guide to Gmax (no offense, it's really how it's called

No, but it can export to .kmz so I can put the model in Google Earth, but not much else... :-[

You made a rough boat in 18 minutes? I have had SketchUp on my machine for a year and I can't draw anything. I have a model in my head for a plane I want to draw but can't get off Square One. It is said to be so easy, so intuitive, that a five year-old can use it. Well, not being five may be my problem. All I need is a fuselage; the rest can be done by another designer who is helping me with the design. I have the Dummies book, but get nowhere...
