Project Bugatti - Update

Postby Katahu » Thu Oct 30, 2008 11:29 pm

I was very busy with the textures on this one. And this time, they will be better than that of the Nissan. Here is an example of that:

This is an old shot, so the seats have been textured.

Earlier in my blog, I said that it was practically practically impossible to impliment photorealistic textures for the Bugatti, mainly in part because of the difficulty of finding the right photos at a good-enough angle to impliment them. I guess I was wrong about that one because I managed to impliment such textures onto parts of the interior for a great effect. However, they will only be applied to the doors, parts of the center console, the pedals and the accessories. The rest of the textures are made from scratch. As for the exterior, you'll probably see a few phototextures for the engine top and possible the brakes. Other than that, the model looks great in my honest opinion.

However, the animations are annoying the heck out of me. I can't seem to get the tires to rotate even though I key framed according the SDK [0-25,25-50, 50-75, 75-100] while using the Animation Manager in FSTools for Gmax. Even simple keyframes like animating the steering wheel [tagged with Leverl_Stick_L_R] don't work. Any ideas why this is happeneing?

PS: The following liveries have been finalized.
1. Polizei (German Police)
2. Luxury Black
3. Luxury Red
4. Silver

Isn't the Spyder a Lamborghini?

'Spyder' is the German term for a convertible, 'Spider' is the Italian term for a convertible. Therefore, being that the Bugatti is owned by Volkswagen which is a German company, they refer to the Bugatti Veyron convertible as a Spyder. ;) The Lamborghini Gallardo convertible would be the Spider.
But either way, any plans for it? ;D ;) There are currently 4 versions of the Veyron, the Basic(ironic term for the baddest car on the planet)
the Hermes edition, the Spyder/Roadster, and the newest of which whos name I can't recall but only 4 will be made and it is to cost just shy of $4 million USD.
 (I'm a bit of a car freak! ;D)
PS: I have all of your other models and really enjoy them, especially the Enzo! ;) Thanks!

Well, if the Spyder is a convertable Bugatti, then the model for that one will be pretty simple to make as I have already seen the photos of the convertable. All I need to do is simply take out a few polygons and seal off any gaps.
