Does anyone know how I can take pictures of something off of a DVD? I tried a while back using IRFanview, but it wouldn't keep the images once I removed the DVD. And I need multiple shots, so pausing at a certain point in the movie wouldn't really be best. Although if that's the only way, I guess I can grin and bear it.

Use FRAPS
http://www.fraps.com/download.phpit's a screen capture tool that will capture pretty much anything that's being displayed on your computer on a DirectX output, including video from DVD player software
once you have it open, wherever you see the frame rate meter, you can capture screenshots...
just have a quick look at the instructions and you'll be good to go
Cheers
