I asked a few times and never got an answer to this question so after some tooling around I thought I would post this here in case someone else needed to know!

Good work, SG. I don't have FSX, so I hope M$ got the bug sorted out of the smokesystem that was the in FS2002 and FS9, where the vertical location parameter doesn't do anything in the sim - you have to adjust it by changing the vertical offset figure in the .fx file itself.
