New at Design

Postby ACP_Superfly » Tue Nov 06, 2007 2:28 am

Hello all, Im fairly new to 3d design, well I have been doing it for years on games like Sims2 but every time I try for any of the CFS games I lose the work. I was wondering if someone could give me a link for a really good Gmax or Milkshape tutorial for cfs-cfs3 (i got all 3). I also have fsds somewhere but I cant get to it at the moment. To start off with, I was wanting to make a 1969 Dodge Charger, paint it like the General Lee (Note im not redneck, but got a good friend who would go crazy for this car). Wanted to try and make flap animation were the dukes sit on the windows, lol. If anyone could help me out that would be GREAT

Note: I was going to start that off with a basic model for CFS then make it more detailed with 2 and 3

Have you tried looking at the maker of GMAX web site? I googled "tutorial for CFS" and found the link below. Not sure if it will help 8-)

There are some books out there as well but the last time I looked they are also a little old. My only other advice is to Google and see what you can find. Be very specific in your search it will help. 8-)

The Gmax modelling tutorials don't go "out of date".

What is timely, though, are FS SDK specific issues, such as how to create the attachpoints, using the FSX tools, Attachpoint tools, etc., and that depends on which gmax gamepack you have installed.

Learning the program is no problem.

Getting specific help, that's why there are the design forums.
