Gee thanks Felix. Hey Ive got another problem now. Is it possible to use attach tool to attach say wake effects to the pontoons on a flightsim model. I keep getting a BGL crash error on export. Or is there any other way to do it The Dash amphib is showing wake for the C208 and that just doesnt fly if you know what I mean.

wouldn't you need to create or find a suitable effect and add it in place of the c208 wake in the cfg?

I know nothing about the Attachtool, but as mentioned just above, it would seem to be a lot simpler than that, by editing is the aircraft.cfg. Here's the entry from the amphib Caravan...

[EFFECTS]
wake=fx_wake
water=fx_spray
dirt=fx_tchdrt
concrete=fx_sparks
touchdown=fx_tchdwn_s, 1

...with the effects apparently being placed by the contact points. There are also 5 types of fx_wake files in the FS9 Effects folder, as well as watercrash and wtrspray effects (not absolutely certain that all are intended for aircraft). Have fun experimenting!

Hey guys. I think the other wakes are just for extruding the effect. (lengthening when speed is increased) Also the wake as far as I know is not spawned from the contact points its somehow in the model params. Now Spray effects get their spawn points from Float points and scrapes and floats also double as scrapes so if you are ever adding float points you dont have to add scrapes. Ill check that out though there may be a way to change the wakes for each pontoon in the file if there is a param in them that references the Flight Sim Reference point. So thanks for the idea on that. 8-)
Also Rob I added a bunch of stuff to the Dashes. Pilots you can turn on and off VC rain effect inside and outside got the Amphib gear fixed. Had a - where it shouldnt have been and that was causing the dive. They are solid as rock now. Got the wipers working thanks to Bill at Free Flight. Finally got the levers fixed so they work right. 8-)

Hey Guys. Thanks Moach! Found a suitiable wake effect. I just used the wake effect from the S600s that I edited. Works well makes it look like the props are creating wake also that and with the spray effect that I downloaded from here at the V.
The Dashes have been uploaded should be availiable tomorrow. 8-)
