I downloaded the FS9 Mystere IVA on this site and am not saticfied with the acceleration. It takes a very long time to reach 400knots! Can some one tell me how to get the acceleration better so it can reach the appropriate speeds?

Here is the Mystere:   http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military109.htm

Okay, it's been awhile since I've done any engine tunning. First I would look into the aircraft.cfg, in the aircraft folder and look at the engine data. Look to see if it's actually the right power plant, if it's a prop then change it to a jet. Second, if you find out it's jet and discover that it doesn't have the right max thrust specified change that etc. you can also do this for ever line in the cfg which you think may be off. But I think static thrust and weight is your issue. ;)

Open the aircraft.cfg , and then you have to change the numbers in the fat line

[TurbineEngineData]
fuel_flow_gain=xxx.xxx
inlet_area=xxx.xxx
rated_N2_rpm=xxx.xxx
static_thrust=4500.000000
afterburner_available=x
reverser_available=x

and then you have to change the next number in the fat line:

[Reference Speeds]
flaps_up_stall_speed= xx.xxx
full_flaps_stall_speed= xx.xxx
cruise_speed= 680.662
max_indicated_speed=850.000000
max_mach=1.400000

So i've made it :D
