Postby godlikenastyboy » Sun Mar 25, 2007 2:47 pm

Is it possible to convert a fs2004 plane to fsx, If so Is it a complicated job or something a new person can do....it is for antonov-225.
It is freeware and the author gives permission to modify.

Just install it & try it. It will either work or it won't. The most likely problem you will have is incompatible gauges.

Be sure to put all the gauges into the panel folder for the aircraft instead of the main "gauges" folder.
That way, if some of them do not work in FSX it will be easier to remove tem and find replacements, if possible.

Some FS9 addons might also have texture issues when used in FSX [ie: blurry aircraft textures]. My Nissan Skyline suffered this problem when I tried it out in FSX.

Dear Paul:
Many thanks for your information about gauges and where to place them.  This solved a problem I had after loading an FS9 Alpha aircraft into FSX. The plane showed up perfectly and flew accurately, but the gauges simply didn't function. AFter following your direction and placing the guages in the aircraft's panel folder, everything worked perfectly.
A real boost to my pleasure in using SFX..  Thanks muchly,
