nosewheel sensitivity

hi all. how do you adjust the sensitivity of an aircrafts nosewhel. i want to make the nosewheel on the POSKY 767-300 more sensitive, as when i try to turn on the ground, there is almost no effect. i have made the rudder more effective but that has made no difference.

Go into the Aircraft config file and look in the [contact_points] section. Open up another aircraft config from one of the stock aircraft. When you find [contact_points] in that file, it will give you a list of what the numbers mean. Study that for a bit, and then find the center wheel and change its steering angle. For a good turning radius (perhaps not very accurate, but will help a bit more) try making it something like 30 degrees.

thanks for the reply. i did go and look at the config and did edit the steering angle from 65 to 80 (this was before your suggestion). am i wrong in thinking that the greater the angle the sharper it should turn?

Yeah, that should be true, although ocassionally (sp?) you'll get an aircraft with a weird MOI setting somewhere and that could be throwing it off. Other than what you've already tried, I don't know what to tell you.

thanks for your help locke. i ended up taking the contact points etc from another similar sized a/c and they worked.

Using differential brakes will also assist you in making sharper turns while taxiing, if you have
a spare button or two on your stick/throttle to assign those fuctions to.
