Hi
As its FSDS3 your getting the 4mm weld issues
The weld function in makemdl is lock on for the VC,dont ask me why this causes small parts with points 4mm and less apart to be welded together, making nice small round objects look like pretzels.I hate it I hate it I hate it wozza spit dummy out:)
Good news its been fixed in the FSX compiler but that is not backward compat so it wont allow fs9 aircraft to be compiled. There is no real work around what I do is set the project sale to 0.004 and then snap small parts to scale then move the points back into shape until they stop moving 7 out of 10 time they will stay put during the compile.dont ya just hate the fact that FSDS user cant have their cake and eat it to,Gggggrrrrrbuild with fsds2 and alls nice round but no partxml code build with fsds3(or G-max) and you end up with chunky VC's
Wozza
I think that we need a FSDS 3.1 with
* improved boolean (the actual is a nightmare)
* pre-process (i wonder why we have it if we cant use it?)[/quote[
Because the methodology is different when going through makemdl.exe. All the FSDS2 preprocesses can be created through XML coding. For that matter, I think they have been. I'll have to check around the FFDS (and some other) forums to confirm this.* preliminary view of the animations
I agreewith that i'll be really happy
