FSX model's design's changed

hi guys just a quick note to you all came across this infomation after getting fsx today reading the sdk's theres new infomation regarding the models when exported

so copied it for you to have a look at it


The model.cfg file
The model.cfg file is located in an aircraft

Good to know!  Thanks, Eddie.

Seems that the crash model is going to be a bit of a new thing . . . sounds like a challenge to create, as well.

Crash models have been around since (at least) FS98....

THe "other" side of the coin is that if there's a model out there without a VC, one can be created for it.

For example, there have been aircraft that were done with regular gauges, and sometime during their lifetime were converted to "glass" cockpits.  Theoretically, you can have two variants, of the SAME model, one with round gauges, one with a glass cockpit, without having to duplicate textures, model files etc.


Similarly, you can create additional views (co pilot, passenger, etc) in the CFG file.....

these are good news.. so.. we can lets say.. adapt models without VC and the add them a separated VC ( thats like CFS3) then voil
