Is it possible to model an FS model using the Trial version of 3DS Max? Also, how hard is it? I really wanna give modelling a go ;D ;D

Though I am not familar with the product you are talking about the word TRAIL might mean a limited version and you might not be able to do all that is nedded to create anything for FS.
Though GMAX is not what I would call a first time user friendly program it is one of the best 3d tools out at the moment.  If you start at the begging and work your way through it you should be able to create what you want.
There are several good books on Gmax that come with a CD and pleanty of tutorials, but you might have to order them from your local bookstore.

Yah, a trial wont last you long other then to become familiar with all the tools and functions. What can be learned from Gmax can also be used in 3dsmax, in other words it's more powerful. What you would do is model in 3ds and import in Gmax and export then into flightsim.

-Hope this makes sense. ;)

Given that the 3DSMAx trial version is only 30 days, I would caution against getting enamored of it, only to have to revert to gmax.

gmax is basically 3DSMAx 4, without rendering, nurbs, etc.

Familiarize yourself with gmax, then try out 3DSMax once the FS-X SDks come out.  Initially, the ONLY program you can use to create true FS-X models will be 3DSMAx, until Microsoft completes the gmax scripts.....
