I've just started using gmax to build models. i've started building a motorbike(not sure why!!!) and i have part of my design done(see attached image)

how can i make this one side of the bike have depth. I've tried making it a polygon but when i try every option i can think of my design dissapears. Thanks

I don't think it disappears. When cocnverting a 2D object in Gmax, the object is solid on one side and invisible on the other. So when you convert, you might want to change views to see the object.

Also, try making that particular part as seperate objects. Gmax really hates immense curves when trying to do this type of action, so I would detach or redraw that gas tank (I think that's what that is on top) and then do the rest of the body seperately.
