f16fightingfalcon,
Unfortunately, it looks as if your thread got hijacked.
Basically, you need two things to export to FS9.
1. Plugin FSModelExp.DLE - with this, when you export, you have the option now to export aircraft or scenery objects. This program interfaces with gmax to build the intermediate .x file for your model. This file is the input file to Makemdl.exe which is the compiler that generates the .mdl file for FS9.
2. MakeMdl.exe - the compiler that generates the .mdl file.
So, the flow is like this:
gmax--->FSModelExp.DLE--->MakeMdl.exe--->FS9 .mdl
Do a search on these items, get the required programs, set them up and you are ready to export to FS9.
Sorry I can't go into more detail but you will find many others have. The important thing to know is the flow and what programs are required. Have fun.
