Compile error help needed

Postby NCGent » Sat May 06, 2006 12:42 pm

Every time I boolean out a flap and then animate it I end up with compile errors. I make the cut, clone the part for the back of the flap, set the flap in place, animate it and try to test it in FS9 but end up with
"Non Normalized normal encountered in part r_flap"
I tried following the Fixing Compile Errors instructions but with no sucess. Does anyone know anything that I may do to repair this and get the model in FS9? I am using FSDS v3

I found what was causing my troubles. When done with the boolean cut I was making a clone of the part that covers up the hole in the wing and joining it with the wing and the back of the flap ( Join Salected). After I quit doing that (as instructed by the Abacus instructions) I had no more problems with it. I left the parts as a single part and was able to complete the model and compile. Just thought I would let everyone know just in case you ever had the same trouble.
