What do these switches do?

On the panel shown below, I am researching exactly what the two, three-position switches I have circled in red actually do.

Just guessing, but I'd say it's nav source select for pilot/copilot.

I can't understand the centre off position...unless it's used to declutter an EFIS display by removing the associated needle display. That would allow the pilots to listen to radio on the adf without cluttering the HSI.

If one juxtaposes 1 for L and 2 for R it makes more sense.

it allows both receivers to filter to search for ADF or VOR beacon, don't ask me what the difference is ;) ;D

Left to right, top to bottom

row 1
Minimums bar (the brown one that indicates groud level)
(?)
change to metric
Barometer units (inch / hpa)

row2
'left'  channel (beacon info on left side of rose) feed
rose type (approach, nav, map with route, plan mode for fmc)
range to display
'right'  channel (beacon info on left side of rose) feed VOR2

last row is the 'what to display' stuff
Radar, beacons, waypoints, airport, additional info, own position

Well, those are options for allowing the VOR1 or VOR2 to be switched during NAV options and so on to be displayed on a effis panel (or glass cockpit). They normally show up on the HSI, and you can select when flying NAV to switch the VOR offten as possible whenever you cross a VOR, switch to the next one etc.. ;D
