I need some experienced designers to build several aircraft and associated panels for use in our flight school for Light Sport Aircraft. I can provide .jpg pics of the aircraft and panels. I need to know how long and how much to do each one.
Thanks,
Willy

So you're willing to pay people for this?

Hello, welcome to the madhouse. It would be best to introduce yourself before beginning to post such a request.

Kocke, yep. Katahu, if I had the time to type a bunch of stuff, I'd do it myself. I have recently started a business in the Light Sport Aircraft business. I sell airplanes and am starting a flight school. I have used Flight Sim myself and believe it could be a big help to really new students but our planes are a bit different from a standard certified airplane and I think it would help to provide the actual instrument panel that they will be working with in the real plane. As they only have to put in 20 hours to get a license, some home work will help in the air work. Check out our website at
www.flywingsport.com If anyone is interested in helping out, pls let me know. I have 6 students waiting to get started next month.

One question I have... COnsidering the time frame involved (next month is only a day away).... how complicated is the instrumentation on your airplanes?
I presume that being "Sport Planes" the instruments are relatively basic "steam" gauges, rather than glass cockpits?
Would instruments off the default FS2004 Cessna/ MOoney, etc do, as long as they're in the same basic positions as on your airplane's panels?
I presume that - for "homework" purposes, you would want to concentrate on the panel presentation and flight dynamics rather than 100% accuracy of the visual model (ex. if the brake lines aren't shown, or all the rivents aren't modelled in the exterior view, you're not going to complain?) The basic visual model wouldn't take too long, and neither would assembling a panel.

Felix, some of the planes have the old "steam" gauges (Eroupe) but some have a combination of analog and digital EIS and EFIS glass panel (StingSport). Existing gauges from other planes can be used, only important that they be located in similiar positions on the panel to the sportplanes. Timing is really May-June.

Post some pics and maybe sobebody will jump on it.
EFIS guages can be a bit of a pain if they aren't similar enough to something used elsewhere though.

I've sent him a couple of e-mails. The StingSport looks neat. I found a 2-view, and the "standard" panel looks simple enough.
The distributors of the StingSport and Breezer will be at Sun'n'Fun next week, so I'll be taking photos....

If someone jumps in the fire, i will jump in with them. i am a full time student and i work part time after school, so i can't be lead designer on this. but if i have someone to help me, and do a split 50/50 id do it...i like the sigma and the breezer. i work with FSDS 2.24 (soon FSDS3

) and a
portfolio of my W.I.P's can be seen HERE i dont do textures or flight dynmics (thats why most of the W.I.P's are still W.I.P's, so i would only do 3D modeling.

Felipe - I"ve been in contact with Bill. He'll be at the Sun'n'Fun show next week. I plan to meet with him.
The main thing - at first - is the panel. I'll get photos, etc., but tengo una uena idea. Te envio un e-mail privado.

Hello everyone. I am happy to get some enthusiastic response from you all but I am heading down to Fun n' Sun this weekend and will be somewhat tied up. Do not get to involved with all the planes on
www.flywingsport.com as the first one I need worked on is the StingSport. If you are interested in all the new S-LSA (or E-LSA) aircraft go to
http://www.sportpilot.org/slsa/. I will meet with Felix in Lakeland and see what we can work out. I expect to handle one or two more LSA aircraft possibility three, and what the others are will probably be decided after this event. This is hot stuff so enjoy the ride!
