Project Nissan: Texture Testing Part II

Postby Katahu » Sat Feb 04, 2006 10:44 pm

Finally, I have begun on the exterior of the car. The textures for the exterior were derived from a High-Resolution 3-View image I have for the Nissan model. From the looks of it, it has that 'anime' feel to it that fits nicely for a car that is made in Japan. 8)

This is a blank texture that will be available with the package so that Repainter can start on it. Repainters can remove the lines on the model if they wish. The layout for the exterior texture is similar to that of the Enzo Ferrari. This makes for easy repaints. Not only that, the textures are more aligned compared to the Ferrari.

Right now, I'm just making a few random paint schemes for the car's exterior. I'm just trying to see how the textures stand out with certain colors and looks.

In a while, I'll get started on the rims [finally] and then work on creating the suspension system. This time, I'll add more than just suspensions. Once those are done, I'll rearrange the links in Gmax so that the parts of the car would be ready for animating. After that, comes the dynamics files.

I'll post a new sig when I'm done with the Rims so that I can show you one of the random paint schemes I made. I'll try my very best to recreate the paint scheme that was seen in the movie "2 Fast 2 Furious".
