What are the check boxes in CFS2 DP?

Hi,
   there are 120 tick boxes in DPED 1.10 for CFS2 aircraft.  The tabs correspond to Box No. of which there are 120 check boxes.  I have determined they are something to do with the damage profile of the boxes, but I dont know what they do when checked.  Any help out there?
