Making the Concord

Postby gilesh » Thu Sep 08, 2005 8:15 am

Hi, I am thinking of making the concord for fs 2004 and I was wondering if any of you guys want to help?
I have got the sounds and panel we could use but I am not sure about the config and Air files.

I thourght we could use the textures from fsfrance.com as they look good but I thourght we could replace the config and air flies as they have bugs in them like the overspeed goes off at 350 knotts.

What do you guys recon? Want to help?

Do you want to make a new model or rework the air and cfg files of an existing model?

The way you've worded it, it seems you want to rework the fsfrance model.

You cannot simply "take" textures from an existing model into a new-build model  - for starters you'd have to make completely sure that you base your model exactly for the textures (not impossible, but a heck of a lot more challenging that mapping and creating new textures).  Also, you may find that another outfit may not be happy to see "their" textures on someone else's model.

Good luck.

Hi. Thanks for replying.
Really I just want to re work the config and air flies as they have a lot of bugs in them.
Can this be done?
Thanks, Giles.

Giles,

I've used the Project Mach 2 Concorde for some while and haven't had any real issues with it - what bugs are you talking about? Don't forget at cruise altitude (around FL500), you will be looking at Mach speeds, not kts.

;)
