Hi all,

Just a short note, I would like to let everyone know of a new Flash video covering lofting techniques with Gmax. It shows how to build a simple nosecone and runs approximately 8 minutes in length. The principles can be applied to just about any object created in Gmax however. Feel free to view it at anytime.

Did you select the line FIRST, then "Pick shape"?  It appears you picked "PATH" ...

Post a picture of your work so I can see what you did wrong.

Hello !

I would like to to create the wingtip with LOFT,but it does not work for me.I try to post two pics for it.On one of these you can see the "path" (red line) and the "shape" (blue line). On the other one you can see the result of lofting.I don't know what's the problem :(

Choose Shape01, open the Hierarchy tab and select Affect Pivot Only, then choose Center to Object. Once the pivot point is centered move it along the Y-axis out to the leading edge so all three axis sit right over the LE and try the loft again.

I think I found my mistake :) I used "Collapse To" when I finished shaping the wing and after that I tried to  make the wingtip with lofting

Hello !

I'd like to create a fillet between vertical stab and fuselage with lofting.Shape for lofting is the leading edge of the vertical stab (red selection on the pic).
When I apply loft, the shape is rotating and a wrong surface will drawn along the "path".The vertical stab is an editable mesh without any transform or scale (no Xform,etc...) What can I make wong? :(
