nOOb with a problem....

Hey there!
First of all, i'm new here.
I'm Ed from Groningen, Holland (near EHGG) and i would like to learn some things about fine-tuning my plane's in FS9.
Now i have a little problem with tuning a Cessna 182 RG. It aint realistic, but i wan't it to go a little faster.
I was thinking about 280 knots cruise/ 320 knots max.
I am already fooling around with FSEdit and AirEd, and the 182 is hitting 220 knots now. But this with highly inefficient settings, like 1500 hp, and it's flying like crap above 170 knots. It's shaking like ****.
It's my goal to get it go faster, but it has to be a bit more realistic than this.
What can i do, to make the plane more efficient?
How can i get the plane stable at higher speeds?
I like the design of the 182 RG, and i think, that it diserves (is this right?) a bit more speed.
Can someone help me with these problem's?
It is not my goal, however, to built or tune more planes in the future. I like to leave that job to the pro's!
So i'm not seeking for (relativly) expensive program's, to hit my goal.
Any help would be welcome!
ps: forgive me for mistakes, my english is a little ruste...
