Virtual Cockpits....to detatch or NOT to detatch

Postby caldabolg_2 » Mon Apr 25, 2005 9:45 pm

Okay....I'v heard that that your virtual cockpit is a seperate object from your exterior model.So...why can I look out the window of my aircraft and see the wings, props and flaps all moving?I want to know this before I start texturing or detatching any of my interior.Any help would be grand.(roll the "R" on Grand lol)

everything you see in Vcockpit view is the INTERIOR model, that is detached from the rest of the plane

so f you want your wings to be visible from the Vcockpit view you need to attatch them to the INTERIOR model

*note - a part attatched to the INTERIOR model will not be visible in the SPOT PLANE view and vice-vesra, since you can't have a part linked to both interor and exterior, you need to have two models, one for inside and one for outside ;)

so if you want to have your wing to appeat on both interior and exterior, you need to clone the wing and attach one to each group

hope this helps
