I have the Douglas world cruiser all ready for a recreation of the original flights of 1924 around the world. I noticed the fuel given in the downloaded file runs a bit short of what was on board (644 Gal.) No real problem to add the fuel needed in the aircraft Cfg. file but I see that the fuel gauge has 3 tanks and only 2 are filled.  ie;  (DOUGLAS WORLD CRUISERS 1924.
These two FS9/GMax aircraft model the

Off the cuff - aren't fuel tanks are identified in the aircraft.cfg file??

I'm not sure but I  ;Dwill see about that. Also I'l do more research about the fuel & Fuel tanks and the selector.

   I haven't done the research yet but hears the fuel part of the Air cfg. file.

Hummm...that cfg file is only calling out one tank.
If the fuel gauge is showing 2 of three, my guess is
one needle is the actual tank ( center1 ) and the
other that is registering is TOTAL fuel on board.

You can easily change the number/size of fuel tanks
by changing the [FUEL] section of the cfg file.

As you add tanks, they will then show up in the
"Change Fuel" menu screen.

Here is a list of the possible tanks:

Center1
Center2
Center3
LeftMain
LeftAux
LeftTip
RightMain
RightAux
RightTip
External1
External2

cfg entry example:

LeftMain = -3.85, -2.10, 2.50, 46.0, 0.00
RightMain= -3.85,  2.10, 2.50, 46.0, 0.00

Definition of parameters:
The longitudinal, lateral, and vertical position of the tank.  Next are the usable and unusable capacities of the tanks.

FS9 burns fuel from outboard tanks in by default.

You might try adding another tank, one at a time, until
the fuel gauge registers on the one that isn't now.

Then you could keep that tank along with the existing
one and split the fuel load as required.

Also, I've sent the link to Dennis Simanaitis who is looking into it.  It appears that he used the same panel /configuration as from his previous World Cruiser (FS98)..

I did get the extra tanks to show up but they dont seem to relate well with the tank gauge in the aircraft. So I just got another old time gauge that just shows full to empty. gotta go.. thanks all, Wildie.
