Illuminated Parts?

Postby CAFedm » Wed Jan 12, 2005 9:34 pm

OK, I've been asking a lot of lighting questions here lately, things have worked out in that regard but the overall effect isn't quite what was desired.  Now trying to add an illumination effect to an entire part, basically a rectangular panel (4-point polygon in FSDS).  Wondering if it may be possible to modify an existing effects file, or if there might be a texture that can be assigned to the part to accomplish this effect, or something totally different - any ideas are welcome.

Thanks for the link here, managed to get some good advice on which direction to start off in - the final effect can be seen here (and turned out as good as I had hoped for - thanx guys!).  If anyone needs a hand getting a similar feature working, maybe I can help them along as you all have helped me out here. ;D
