I know about the 'eyepoint' parameter, but it does not move the runway view. I know how to futz with the panel file for 2D.
How can this be done to affect the virtual cockpit only?

Adjust the view points in the aircraft.cfg file
0.0, 0.0, 0.0 is usally the center of the model.Trial and error,in and out of the Game.There may be someone else who knows a better way.I just don't remember if it is in feet or meters.
[Views] 1st - 2nd - 3rd
eyepoint=0.0, 0.0, 0.0
example:
1st numbers moves view :forward (0.00 to 10.00 ) or backward ( -0.00 to -10.00)besure to add minus sign for backward.
2nd numbers move view: right (0.00 to 10.00) or left (-0.00 to -10.00)besure to add minus sign for left.
3rd numbers move view: up (0.00 to 10.00)or down (-0.00 to -10.00)besure to add minus sign for down.
you can add what ever numbers you need (0.00 to 10.00 is just an example),I start with 1.00 and adjust in ones till I get close, then adjust with .10 and so on, .01 is very precise.

it's in feet
something that helps with the trial and error process is to set a keyboard assignment to reload the selected aircraft, look in the assignments screen for a "reload aircraft" command and give it a key.
it makes it much faster to set eyepoints and lights in the .CFG
