Help with Gmax

Hi all,

I m having a small problem that I hope some one can help me with. I want to select different parts of the aircraft, and then use select by material Id, so I can apply textures .

first thing I sugest you do is apply a mesh select modifier. Then start selecting.

Secondly, set ur material opacity to 100%.. its a lot easier that way.

okay.. in smooth + highlights mode, check whether the polygons are in their correct colour (the material ID leaves different colours.)

Hey Rhys,

If you can give me a day or so, I will create a video showing how to properly use Material IDs and Multi Materials so you can map an object. I can't count the number of emails I've received asking for this one. ;)

Nope, no cartoon shorts. I've used up all my colored pencils and need to order more.

How about paint by numbers instead?  ::)
