I am glad to report that work on my new FSDS2 Cobra Gunship model for FS2004 is continuing apace after a break due to work commitments, however, though I have searched the web for imagery (particularly close up detailed imagery) I would very much welcome pointers to other sources of such imagery that I may have missed that might prove useful. (Obviously, know of the fantastic Airliners.net)
So, if you know of any such images (or own such images that you could kindly make available to me) please do feel free to drop a note for me here, as your help would very much be appreciated. ;)
A small preview of the model in development can be see here:

Many thanks,

I don't know which model of the Cobra you intend this to be, but it looks most like the Marine's "J" model. In any case, the "stub wings" are too small and too thin. They look like the ones that were on the first prototype. I didn't fly that model, but maybe I could answer some questions for you.

Many thanks for those great links, Ender. I have spent ages on Google but not seen a few of those, to be honest). A great help. ;)
As for the wings, G31, these are by no means done yet and are merely basic blocks. Also part of the nose needs cutting away for the sensors, and so on - and this all takes a great deal of time so bear with me.
Certainly I could do with an ex-cobra flyer to talk to, expecially when sorting out the flight dynamics. So, if you're around then, perhaps we could talk? Don't know when that'll be, though, as have a couple of other models I'm working on at the same time and, being that this is my first model, the learning curve is fairly steep. (The engine housings were a complete pain, for example). :)

I mostly just "lurk" and only post when it's of real interest to me. As for the flight model, sad thing is that FS-9 cannot do true helicopter flight models. Maybe you should have tried the "G" model (like I flew) first, the single engine installation in it would be much easier ;) My e-mail is listed on my profile so e-mail me if you need anything I can help with.
