CH-149 Cormorant

Postby cameron_gl » Wed Aug 25, 2004 1:38 pm

Hi, the CH-149 Cormorant is a canadian SAR helicopter, the external modeling and texturing is finished and I will finish the internal part soon. I've created some livreries for our american friends. Check out our website for better definition screenshots and information : http://ch-149.no-ip.org/

This is a freeware project for the FS community !  :)
Thanks

Lol, as I always say, photos are good and essential as ressources but never use it for your  texture because the render won't be good and you'll be limited for creating other livreries. I'm gonna create a template texture for people that would want to create other livreries. We'll provide that after the official release of the Cormorant   ;D

Looks great!

Will we see a CAF ASW livery...or maybe a CAF Transport variant?

For the official release you can expect 4 to 5 different livreries. By now I'm working on a camo version for the us army and another version for the Royal Navy.
I will create a template for people interested for painting other livreries.

Christian,

That is a stunning model, excellent detail and craftmanship.  Thank you for forcing me to buy a joystick! ;-)

Inspector Poly still maintains that those are edited photographs of the real helicopter!

Seeing how the CH-149 is just a slightly modified version of the EH-101 Merlin.
Is there any chance of seeing a British skin?

Well, nice compliments deserve a surprise so here's a new skin for the U.S. Army. Captain Canuck, there's a version for the Royal Navy, check it out in our website  ;)
I hope to show you the cabin very soon....  ;D
