How in the world did you pull that off. I think it gets barzar plane of the year award. ;D
I hope you had a back up before this happened. I know what it is like to get so close to finishing then something like this happens. It makes you want to pull your hair out. I do not have a clue as to how this happened. I could not recreate this if I tried.

I think Dread Pirate Roberts was importing from FSDS2. :-/

Spock - your statement is illogical, and doesn't take into account from where he exported the model (granted, most of his work has been in FSDS2), nor HOW (it could be that the conversion process/programs he's using insert unwanted objects, etc.

FSDS may be "junk" to you, but for many it's the program of choice.

I second that.

Use whichever program you wish. That is your decision. If you can use these complex 3D modelling applications, not to mention afford to purchase them, good luck to you. By the same token, please don't criticise others for making their own choices or insult the developer of the software by calling his work junk. >:(

FSDS was the only practical tool for creating FS aircraft for many years. It's still capable of creating perfectly acceptable models. Without it I would have lost out on many hours of enjoyment.

Your right, I have no idea how the model in the screenshot came to be.  I was simply assuming.  I just didn't think I'd be insulting anyone at these forums by saying that about the program.  Sorry.

It's not the program that makes the designer, it's the designer that makes the program. In other words, you can put the worst program in the hands of the most capable person, and they will still turn out something great 8)

The reverse is also true. ;)

Yeah, just with the right tool he can do it in a fraction of the time, and as a matter of fact, a crappy program creates armies of crappy designers. :)

True ;D

a crappy program creates armies of crappy designers.

I think you'll find that as people learn the ropes of a program, they will soon realise if's it's a bad program and then, hopefully, move on to something better :)
