Change .air file to reflect .cfg changes

Posted: Sun Jul 04, 2004 8:28 pmI am a new comer to FS2K, and for my first project I want to convert the stock F4U-1A to a F4U-1D. Simple enough right ? They look the same (almost) so the graphics won't have to change
I made the changes to the aircraft .cfg file in wordpad and saved the changes, but when I run the Flt Sim. the airplane is little changed, if at all.
In the SDK it says that this is to be expected and that I need to run FSEDIT to have the .air file incorporate the changes in the .cfg file.
Where do I get FSEDIT ? ?? I have the standard FS2K not the Pro version so I don't have it on the disk now I don't think.
Need some help with this.
