Hi all

I have downloaded a gmax source file and exported the file to make mdl. The problem is the new aircraft is as big as shopping complex and I

HSV,

You can scale an object using the "Select and Uniform Scale" but first male sure you have gmax System Units set for Meters and Auto conversion checked.

To do this you need to select the object and set the gizmo to be "Use Object Center". From there build three Tape Measures set the height, width and length. Assemble the Tap Measures to form a scaling box.

All you need to do now is scale the object to mach the box. This approach will net a model that is 2 to 5 inches off in Flight Sim. You

NIce tip, as usual.

Your images, though, bring up the follow up question....  Is that a "reference grid" texture on the wings?

Hi Felix,

The texture is my way of making sure I have done a good job placing and aligning the UVW maps on an object. If there is stretching, tearing or misalignment of the UVWs it shows up very well and allows me to correct my template in the Edit UVW before I finalize the texture template. This type of problem rarely occurs 99% of the time due to mapping techniques I
